The Gas Mask is a piece of head equipment which protects the pioneer from Poison Gas. When it is equipped, a gas cloud consumes Gas Filters from the pioneer's inventory at a rate of one every 24 seconds (2.5 per minute) instead of causing poison damage, and the pioneer's vision is narrowed with a dark vignette while they are being used. If the filters run out and no spare filter is present in the pioneer's inventory, the Gas Mask will not function.
