The Admin noticeboard is one way through which users can notify Administrators of issues needing administrative attention. While users are welcome to directly contact specific administrators (especially if they are seen to be active), posting here can be an easier and quicker way of ensuring that at least one admin will notice an issue and respond to it promptly. Remember to sign (using four tildes: ~~~~
) when posting an issue.
Before posting an issue here, please consider the following:
- This page is for reporting wiki issues. Please post discussions on the talk page.
- Post only issues that require administrative action, i.e. blocking vandals, protecting pages, restoring deleted pages etc.
- Do not post deletion requests here. Deletion requests should be made by adding
{{delete|reason for deletion request}}
to the top of the target page, which will then automatically mark the page as a candidate for deletion. - Do not post issues regarding content disputes. Try making a request for comment instead.
- Mediation requests between users should only be made once a resolution could not be reached between users.
- For issues regarding the use of this wiki, please see our help center.
In case of vandalism, posting about it here is low priority. Revert it first, anyone can do so. If the vandal created a new page, tag it for deletion. Assume good faith and consider leaving a message on that user's talk page to explain the reason. Post here only if the user has made several disruptive edits and/or persists despite a warning. Always avoid a revert war with the vandal; it is far better to wait until an admin has a chance to intervene. If a user must be reported here, please use {{user}}
, preferably as the topic subject/headline.
Current Issues
Adding the Dutch language
I love the game and like the looks of the wiki here.
I would like to set up the dutch wiki, therefor the language needs to be added to the main page.
Currently (23-5-2019) there are 6 pages with an /nl, I hope any admin member can make an dutch (nl) sub-domain! — Preceding unsigned comment added by VinceVsGaming (talk • contribs) at 17:00, 22 May 2019. Please sign your posts with ~~~~
- In order to create a subdomain for another language, we need the front page and at least some of the pages linked from it to be translated, and we'd need ideally a community but at a minimum one person willing to commit to administrating that wiki, which is a bigger task than it may sound. We currently have none of these prerequisites met for Dutch.

I messed up on one of my translations
Hey, I messed up with creating one of the translated pages and it created a wrongly named non working page, meaning there is no way to add a delete tag to it. all the links of the broken page link to https://nl/Top_section, which of course does not work. Joerkig (talk) 08:31, 24 May 2019 (UTC)
Establishment of rules for stale translation projects
Practically all wiki translation projects (except those on separate domains and /zh which has recent activity and is being updated) are unmaintained with barely any activity. Some pages still have information from even pre-Update 1, which means many of them provide flat out inaccurate or misleading information.
I feel like some rules for stale translations should be set up so that unmaintained and/or bad translations are removed from the wiki. --Ondar111 (talk) 18:38, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
- Suggestions:
- Stage 1) Call for new maintainers with period of X weeks before proceeding to next stage if no suitable maintainers can be found.
- Stage 2) Announce grace period of Y weeks for deletion.
- Stage 3) If possible, lock content against edits then archive content for Z days before deletion.
- Stage 4) Delete stale content
- SignpostMarv (talk) 23:30, 11 January 2021 (UTC)
- p.s. "stale" should be strongly-defined.
- SignpostMarv (talk) 23:32, 11 January 2021 (UTC)
- I don't see the gain to deleting them, just removes a starting point if we happen to get someone who wants to pick up the project. Except in cases where there was very little effort put in (e.g. article is still in English, or just one sentence or two is translated), I don't think we should be deleting abandoned translation projects. A notice of how outdated the page is would be more appropriate.
- I also don't understand your "stage 3", Marv. What does that accomplish?
--Mr Pie 5 (talk) 23:05, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
- Stage 3 means locking the content to avoid having to monitor it for activity while it's in the grace period, while leaving the talk page open for "no wait, don't delete it yet"
- SignpostMarv (talk) 19:42, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
- Well, there are some problems caused by keeping the bad translation projects up. Readers in those languages might search for information in their own language, and when they do, they're served with a badly written or outdated article, bringing the overall "quality" of (or trust in) the wiki down. It also clutters up search and wiki maintenance categories.
- Marking the pages as outdated means marking about 200 pages. --Ondar111 (talk) 09:25, 31 January 2021 (UTC)
- Unmaintained translated pages are a big hit for the upcoming centralized recipe and infobox system. When the system is being remade, it should be done properly for once without leaving traces of the old system.
- Currently, the translated pages are still on the Update 2 revision of the system (storing only via infoboxes, resource breakdowns), not even the Update 3 rev (storing via infoboxes and CraftingTable, non-primary recipes and byproducts) and will certainly not support the Update 4 rev (centralized storage, pages only pull data), as a part of it is getting rid of the obscure or unused templates involved, which would stop working either way.
- This means that the unmaintained translated pages will stop working almost entirely except for plaintext due to both infoboxes and the recipe system changing. Having to fix the templates is a large amount of effort and seems like a waste if noone is gonna work on the pages the templates would be used on.
- If we get rid of the translated pages, the new system can be implemented smoothly, and ongoing translation projects (especially DE) can benefit from it significantly. I haven't seen any translated page activity in a month.
- TL;DR: Translated pages use old recipe/infobox templates that were never updated, which will stop working entirely with the new recipe/infobox system. --Ondar111 (talk) 21:37, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
- An update for potential readers: the rules have been estabilished and are in effect, see Satisfactory Wiki:Localization project rules. --Ondar111 (talk) 19:42, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
Guidelines or rules regarding screenshots from the game
What rules must be followed when ingame screenshots are taken and used in this wiki? Cepto (talk) 19:15, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
- Rules for images in general are yet to be defined and listed in the style guide. In short, the what should be commonly applied is:
- Nothing intrusive in the way (if taking a picture of a Train Station for example, only it should be in shot, not other unrelated factories), take images with photo mode if UI isn't meant to be a part of the image
- Compressed JPEG is the way, ideally less than 300 kB filesize
- Use
{{Copyright first-party}}
as license and categorize the image when uploading (e.g. Category:Building screenshots or at least Category:Screenshots)
- --Ondar111 (talk) 19:35, 28 January 2021 (UTC)
Can't upload any videos, regardless of video size.
All video media uploads now result in the error in the image. Tried several different video sizes, looks like maybe the result of moving from gamepedia to fandom, and fandom doesn't properly chunk their upload streams.

- I can see you're uploading through VisualEditor, which can give poor error message. Try Special:Upload and see if it gives you anything different.

Rebuild the crafting_recipes
cargo table
I’ve added the season
parameter to {{CraftingTable}}
in order to correctly classify seasonal event recipes, such as those added by FICS⁕MAS, without needing to add unreleased=1/0
, depending on whether the seasonal event is currently active. The styling for seasonal event recipe stripes is handled by {{CraftingTable/season}}
.
Please rebuild the relevant cargo table, so that the FICS⁕MAS recipes are correctly marked as such. W::User:ExE Boss/signature
April Fools 2022 - Post Event Revision of Main Page Title Formatting Issue
When the Wiki Main Page [1] was reverted back to the original on April 2, 2022, the second line "Satisfactory Wiki" does not appear correctly.
I don't know how to correct and so I leave it to the Administrators capable hands. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Temporal Illusion (talk • contribs) at 19:15, 2 April 2022. Please sign your posts with ~~~~
- It looks okay on my end, might just be a caching issue. What's wrong with it? Does it still say "
SatisfactoryFactorio"?
--Mr Pie 5 (talk) 19:20, 2 April 2022 (UTC)- I cleared Browser Cache for both my Tablet and PC. I use iPad Pro and Mac PC along with Safari Browser. What I see on Mac PC is
In this image you can see "Satisfactory Wiki" incorrectly displayed. On my iPad Pro I don't even see the second line at all. Temporal Illusion (talk) 22:50, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
Attribution for the Satisfactory font used on the main page
I was looking up the cool Satisfactory font that appears on the main page to see where it came from, and I discovered that it is licensed as CC BY 4.0 as noted here: https://natewren.com/satisfontory/
I couldn't locate any attribution on the wiki. I expected to maybe find it as a comment in the source of the main page, and it should certainly appear on Satisfactory Wiki:Copyrights. Since these pages are all protected, is this something you could add? — Preceding unsigned comment added by TerrorBiteIndustries (talk • contribs) at 10:38, 3 December 2022. - Looking into this. It appears the font is somehow installed in the wiki and not imported from an URL, meaning it had to be set up way back when the wiki was created sometime in 2018. --Ondar111 (talk) 12:56, 4 December 2022 (UTC)
German main page is not protected
I don't know if this belongs on this page, since it concerns the German wiki, however since it doesn't have an admin noticeboard, I will just post it here. The German main wiki page and all the templates out of which it is comprised are not protected and can be edited by any user.
Jasger (talk) 22:11, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- This is the right page (it doesn't seem the German wiki has its own noticeboard currently). I've contacted the German wiki admin McGalleon to apply the protection. Cascading protection (for the templates used) usually isn't applied, as it would protect a great number of images displayed on the front page, doing more harm than good. We haven't had any issues with this in the past. --Ondar111 (talk) 22:27, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
Creating ru wiki for the game
Hi everyone, I really enjoy the game, and with 1.0 update I got an idea of creating ru wiki for this game. Currently, there is no translated pages (At least couldn't find any) and I have no experience of creating pages and anything. However, I have dedication and time to make this work. Yes, I do have patience to make 20+ articles/pages. I would like to ask for some guidance from the administrators and will appreciate any help. The Communist (talk) 15 September 2024 15:42 UTC
- Hi, there is a RU Satisfactory Wiki on Fandom. They chose not to migrate alongside the EN/DE/FR wikis. --Ondar111 (talk) 17:51, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi again, how do I find it though? I'd love to contribute to them, but I can't find it. The Communist (talk) 16 September 2024 08:45 UTC
- https://satisfactory-ru.gamepedia.com/ --Ondar111 (talk) 09:39, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
- Good day! As per your words, ru wiki decided not to migrate, however I assume this is because their administration had been absent since mid-2023, so there hardly was anybody in charge to make (or make not) such decision. Also I should notice, that fandom's wiki is mostly abandoned and severely suffers from obsoletion of assets and other localization-independent data due to the fact, that there is no more common storage of assets, which could be upgraded by far more populous english wiki. Even if ru-wiki on Fandom was somewhat active, personally I have grudge against Fandom and wouldn't like to make additions to them. Thus I would like to propose a new start for localization project, in which I can help. I have a rich experience in editing and administering wikies (League of Legends Wiki and Dead Space Wiki), and lack of editors on corresponding wikies also gave me experience of process automation for creating articles. SanchoPansa (talk) 10:19, 1 November 2024 (UTC)
- Understood. In that case, please join the official Discord (linked on the main page) and request the wiki role to ease communication. Note that supporting wiki translations is unfortunately very exhausting and time-consuming on our end, so it may take a while for it to get set up. --Ondar111 (talk) 23:23, 5 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you. I've requested for role on Discord.
Wiki.gg is a little bit new for me, so could you clarify one thing? As I can see, German and French subwikies reside on distinct sub-wikies with classic interlanguage links, whereas Chinese and Spanish versions are just subpages of corresponding English articles. Should I wait until there will be opened rus-subwiki (like the former) or I should create locale-subpages (like the latter)? SanchoPansa (talk) 08:33, 6 November 2024 (UTC)

Latest Patch Notes not linked in Category:Patch notes for anonymous viewers
I don't know why it's making a difference, but for some reason, wiki viewers who are not logged in with an account currently do not have the latest patch notes linked in the Category:Patch notes page.
https://satisfactory.wiki.gg/wiki/Category:Patch_notes
Only when you are not logged in, the most recent entry is non-linked white text, rather than the orange link to the Patch page.
I used Ctrl+F5 to see if even my Incognito browser session is somehow showing an old cached version, but there is no change.
When you are logged in to a wiki.gg account and view the same Category page, the patch number is properly linked to the Patch page.
Noticed so far for both 1.0.0.1 and 1.0.0.2 when they were the latest patch notes available.
--Shendare (talk) 01:41, 22 September 2024
- I forwarded your question to wiki.gg staff. --Ondar111 (talk) 11:31, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
- It was still showing the discrepancy yesterday, but appears to be displaying correctly for anonymous viewing at this moment, so perhaps something was fixed after your forward. Thanks! --Shendare (talk) 17:16, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
- It is still continuing to happen with each new Patch Notes page addition. Something must be happening with wiki.gg and updating templates that is not linking new pages properly (or timely) for anonymous viewers: --Shendare (talk) 21:27, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
Vehicles page in need of an update
Section 3 "Flying vehicles" is in a need of an update due to changes in fueling drones. Article still states that drones only take batteries to function while now you can feed drones packaged fuels or nuclear fuel rods. Although main article about drones have been updated and is correct, this other article should be updated as well to avoid confusion
Adding Simplified Chinese to the wiki
I'm a player from China and I really like this game and this wiki community.I've observed that the wiki community has only a few translated pages in traditional Chinese, and the translations are not very good.As an enthusiastic gamer, I wish I could participate in the Chinese localization, I wonder how I should get started? What can I help?
