Empty Canister

Empty Canisters are parts used to package Fluids, which allows them to be carried in inventories or transported using Conveyor Belts and Vehicles. They are used in the packaging process and are returned during unpackaging, making them reusable. Each Canister can hold 1 m3 of fluid.
Not to be confused with Empty Fluid Tank which is used to package Nitrogen Gas and Nitric Acid.

- Weighted Point is the weighted consumption rate, which is calculated by:
(resource consumption rate / maximum extraction rate) * 10,000
. The lower, the better. - Energy per item can be used to measure how much power is consumed for the entire production chain. The lower, the better.
- Space refers to building space, excluding belts and pipes. The lower, the better.
- Among multiple ways to produce each of the ingredient, the recipe with the lowest WP is chosen. The exception is mentioned below:

Tips
- Some packaged fluids are far more useful than others. Packaged Water, for example, is necessary for Diluted Packaged Fuel.
Trivia
- Canisters appear to change form depending on what fluid is packaged. They retain their original shape when packaging Fuel, Turbofuel or Liquid Biofuel, but when packaging Oil or Water, they change to a metal barrel or gallon container, respectively.
