Smelts 2 resources into alloy ingots. Can be automated by feeding ore in via Conveyor Belts connected to the input ports. The resulting ingots can be automatically extracted by connecting a Conveyor Belt to the output port.

The Foundry is a building that smelts two ore resources into alloy ingots. It cannot be used for smelting single ore resources into single ingot resources nor does it behave like a Mk.2 Smelter.

Early game development

Prior to Closed Alpha, in Sprint 20 (week 40) there was a Mk.2 Foundry that was an improved version of the Mk.2 Smelter. Both Mk.2 variants were removed in Closed Alpha.
