In December 2020, the initial seasonal holiday-themed in-game event of FICS⁕MAS was introduced.
During FICSMAS several exclusive items and buildings were available which remained even after the event ended.
Participating
The event was set to be enabled by default the first time the game was updated to Patch 0.3.7, both in the early access and experimental branches. It could be disabled entirely in the main menu (not the in-game pause menu) by ticking the 'Disable Seasonal Events' option under 'Gameplay' settings.
After the event ended on Jan 18, 2021[1], FICSMAS items and buildings remained in the world, but FICSMAS Gift Trees stopped producing FICSMAS Gifts. Production buildings kept their recipes, but the recipes could no longer be selected. The build menu FICS⁕MAS category, HUB Calendar, and MAM research chain disappeared, which meant no more FICSMAS buildings could be built.
FICSMAS Calendar
While the event was active, a Satisfactory-themed advent calendar could be found to the right of the HUB Terminal. This calendar gave access to a new gift each day from December 1 to December 25. Interacting E with the Calendar brought up a poster featuring a mini puzzle game. In this game, the pioneer had to look for a hidden number corresponding to the day of the month. By clicking that number, one or more items would pop up. Those items could then be collected into the pioneer's inventory by dragging or Shift-clicking the pop-up. If a pioneer clicked a number that corresponded to a future date, nothing would happen, which meant the pioneer could only collect items from the current or previous days.
If a pioneer could not find a specific number, they could enter the desired number at the bottom right of the calendar and click a 'get hint' button to highlight that number.

For year 2020, the rewards for all of the days were randomized, except for the 1st, 4th, 5th, 11th, and the 25th of December:

Rewards from missed previous days can be collected, while those from upcoming days cannot. When a reward is collected, its number changed to gold color from its varied colored theme.
The calendar included a 'tip' button at the bottom right which highlights the number which input into its search bar.
