The most recent revision to this page (on 03/02/25) added this line:

"However, actual flow limits are now stored as floats. This means that the value you set, is the value which will be used in fluid flow limit calculations."

This line seems to imply that valves are now able to precisely limit flow based on the player's input, but it's slightly too vague to know if that's actually what it means, and the line seems to go against the message of the previous line (mainly that you shouldn't use valves for precise flow limiting)

Additionally, does anyone know the source of this info? I very much want it to be true, but I haven't seen or heard anything about valves being updated, whether in 1.0 or 1.1. Desucrate (talk) 06:27, 8 April 2025 (UTC)

I can relay information from a Discord conversation that this is indeed the case. I've updated the page accordingly.

1.0 patch notes didn't mention a huge amount of tiny tweaks and fixes, this is most likely one of them. Ondar111 (talk) 22:25, 8 April 2025 (UTC)
