The console release of Satisfactory is a port of the desktop release, developed by Coffee Stain Studios in cooperation with FishLabs.[1][2] It was released on November 4, 2025.

Supported platforms

Playstation and Xbox

The console release of Satisfactory is available on PlayStation 5 (PS5/PS5 Pro), and Xbox Series X/S.[3]

Steam Deck

While possible to play game on a Steam Deck, the game is currently not verified for Steam Deck.[4] The game currently has 4 out of 5 things needed to be verified on Steam Deck, and Coffee Stain Studios is working on getting all 5 done soon which will include resolving the issue of certain UI text being too small.

Playstation portal

The use of the PlayStation Portal (PS Portal) to play Satisfactory is possible since the game is available for PS5.

Nintendo Switch

There are no current plans for a Nintendo Switch release.[5]

Game content

Update 1.1 content is available on launch.[6] Game updates are thereafter planned to be released simultaneously with PC and console.[7] The scale[8] or cadence[9] of updates shouldn't be affected due to having to support multiple platforms.

Experimental version

Only PC players will be able to use the Experimental version of the game.[10]

Crossplay and interoperability

Console to console crossplay

Crossplay between PlayStation and Xbox consoles is available.

PC to console crossplay

There is no crossplay between PC and console on release.[11]

  • The primary reason for this is that PC players have the freedom to modify the game by adjusting settings using config files, and using mods and save editors, which destabilizes the game. The console release focuses on a stable experience.
  • The possibility of implementing PC to console crossplay hasn't been ruled out entirely, but it would take "all hands on deck for a really long time".[12]

Dedicated servers

The ability to use Dedicated servers will not be available on the console release.[13]

Features

Performance presets

The following performance presets are available:[14]

  • Quality: Will increase visual fidelity but lock your performance to 30 FPS.
  • Performance: Will decrease range on some sliders, but you can get 60 FPS.
  • Balance: Decreases quality a bit but you can get 40 FPS.

The PS5 Pro displays the PS5 Pro Enhanced visual tag, featuring additional visual enhancements like improved draw distance, enhanced volumetrics, and more.[15]

Couch co-op play

There will be no couch co-op play primarily due to the amount of "core systems" are used for a single view experience. These "core systems" have been heavily optimized for single viewport in mind.[16]

Save files

It's not possible to share save files between Xbox, PlayStation or desktop.[17][18][19].

The ability to share save files between console and the desktop release could be implemented later on.

Keyboard and mouse

It is not possible to use the keyboard and mouse on launch, but the feature is being worked on for the future.[20] Both Sony and Microsoft need to approve of the feature first before it can be introduced.

Gameplay capture

You will have 2 ways of capturing your gameplay, either by doing a screenshot using Photo Mode or using the Controller Xbox Share / Playstation Share Share button, or by making a video using Photo Mode Dolly Function and Controller Xbox Share / Playstation Share Share button, or using Controller Share button only when not using Dolly Function.
