Ficsonium Fuel Rod
Ficsonium Fuel Rods are a very late-game fuel produced by reprocessing
Plutonium Waste. They emit the most radiation per item out of any radioactive item in the game.
Burning Fisconium Fuel Rods in
Nuclear Power Plants produces no waste.
Alternatively, they can be used as vehicle fuel.

Usage
Fuel
Ficsonium Fuel Rods can be burned in a
Nuclear Power Plant at a rate of 1/min, producing no byproduct.
Vehicle Fuel
Ficsonium Fuel rods can be loaded into the fuel tank of wheeled vehicles either manually by the Pioneer or automatically through a Truck Station. Caution should be used as the Ficsonium Fuel Rods will still generate intense radiation in a Truck Station or while in a fuel tank waiting to be consumed. Once consumed by the vehicle, the radiation will cease.

Tips
- Given the extremely long burn time and intense radiation it is not recommend to automatically refuel vehicles with Ficsonium Fuel Rods. Automatic refueling will create intense radiation from the Ficsonium Fuel Rods stored in the Truck Station performing the refueling, and it will create a moving intense radiation area from the vehicle loaded with fuel that could take hours, days, or weeks to consume.
- Ficsonium is the ultimate power source of the game. It is also the most efficient way to make a permanently self-sustaining Nuclear Power Plant setup, as both Uranium and Plutonium waste cannot be stored indefinitely. The only alternative to refining waste into Ficsonium is to sink plutonium fuel rods instead of burning them, losing anywhere between 43% and 80% of the possible power generation per uranium ore depending on the alternate recipes used to refine them. An optimal setup which sinks plutonium rods produces 56% less power than one which burns plutonium rods and utilizes Ficsonium.
- However, by utilising alternate recipes to create as many Plutonium Fuel Rods as possible from all the Uranium on the map, there isn't enough SAM to process all of the waste into Ficsonium Fuel Rods. 2100 Uranium/min is available using Mk. 3 Miners overclocked to 250% on the 5 Uranium nodes. Using Infused Uranium Cell, Uranium Fuel Unit, Fertile Uranium, Instant Plutonium Cell and Plutonium Fuel Unit alternate recipes, 305.45/min plutonium waste can be produced. Processing all of this waste, even using the Dark Matter Trap, Ficsite Ingot (Aluminum) and Superposition Oscillator or Synthetic Power Shard recipes to minimise use of SAM, would consume 16290.9 SAM/min; only 10200 SAM/min is available on the map. This would also consume more than is available of other resources.
