Dimensional Depot Uploader
The Dimensional Depot Uploader is a special storage building used to upload parts to the Dimensional Depot.

Usage
The Dimensional Depot Uploader can upload a limited amount of each item to the "Dimensional Depot", which acts as "cloud storage" that can be accessed from the inventory by all players, regardless of location. The amount is initially limited to one stack per item and the speed to 15 items/min - both of which can be independently increased with research up to five stacks and 240 items/min. The Uploader building has an internal buffer of one stack, and only a single conveyor input, which makes it ill-suited for configurations which attempt to upload more than one item type per single Uploader.

Manual Uploader
After being researched, the Manual Uploader allows players to remotely upload items directly from their inventory, essentially making the Pioneer an Uploader with five buffer slots instead of one. The Manual Uploader research node requires Computers, but can be unlocked earlier than intended by finding small amounts of Computers near Crash Sites or receiving them from Lizard Doggos. The Pioneer's manual upload speed matches the currently-researched upload speed of Uploader buildings, and items are uploaded from left to right. This allows players to share items across the map and provides an easy way to clear small amounts of clutter from the inventory without deleting or dropping any items. The Manual Uploader will warn the player when an item can't be uploaded, which only occurs when the Depot's space allotment for that item has already been filled - for these items, the five buffer slots can act as an additional storage space, at the cost of one buffer slot which could be used for other uploads.
Note: As of version CL#385279, players can only access the Manual Uploader after creating a Dimensional Depot Uploader and uploading an item to it.
Dimensional Depot
The Dimensional Depot is unique among storage systems in Satisfactory, as it is based on item quotas rather than inventory slots. Because of this, the amount of a given item that can be stored in the Depot is fully independent of other items, and is based only on the stack size of the item and the current level of "Depot Expansion" research. Items in the Depot can be used directly for building with the Build Gun or for crafting at a Crafting Bench or Equipment Workshop, without the need to transfer any items to the inventory.
The Dimensional Depot's UI can be accessed in the inventory in an expandable tab to the left of the primary inventory. From this UI, the player can move (or "download") up to one stack at a time from the Depot to the inventory, instantly and with no cost, using drag-and-drop or shift-click. Transferring items to an empty slot will always move a full stack, if enough of the items are in the Depot. Transferring items to a partially full slot will move enough items to "refill" the stack to maximum size, if there are enough.
The Dimensional Depot cannot be used for MAM research, automatically reloading weapons, or inserting items into the HUB Terminal or Space Elevator directly. Items will need to be moved from the Depot to the inventory before any of these actions are able to take place.
In the case of ammunitions, it is easy (and advisable) to regularly drag and drop ammunition from the Depot onto a partially-used stack of the same ammunition in the inventory - which will "refill" the stack without taking any more materials from the Depot than required.
Upgrading
All upgrades to the Dimensional Depot and Dimensional Depot Uploaders require Mercer Spheres (97 total) and SAM Fluctuators (1,040 total). (There are a finite amount of Mercer Spheres in the world; as of Patch 1.0, there are 298 Spheres to be found.) The only exception is the Manual Uploader, which also requires 17 Computers. There are four upgrades for both upload rate and capacity, and equivalent upgrade levels cost equivalent amounts. The upload rate begins at 15 items/min and doubles with each upgrade, while the capacity begins at one stack and increases by one stack for each upgrade.
Trivia
- All research upgrades to the Dimensional Depot or Dimensional Depot Uploader have item counts that are either prime-numbered or 1. It is the only research in the game where this is the case.
History
- Patch 1.0: Reintroduced as Dimensional Depot Uploader
- Patch 0.1.5 Removed. Before its removal, it simply provided an inventory space accessible from anywhere upon being constructed.
- Unknown Closed Alpha patch: Introduced as Remote Storage, but unobtainable without save editing.
